I took a weekend trip to North Carolina with my best friend. It was relaxing, beautiful, and pretty hilarious. We’ve been best friends for almost 20 years (how crazy is that?) and we’ve never taken a trip with just the two of us (even more crazy). Our favorite part of the trip was our visit to Bald Head Island — we took a ferry over from Southport, NC, and spend the day on the island, which doesn’t have cars. People get around on golf carts and bicycles. We chose a golf cart. Since it was November, it was pretty slow around the island and the beach was almost completely empty. It was awesome. Here are the photos we took on to/from the island and around the little picturesque place… the ones of me, Kasie took. I could definitely live there. More photos to come… for now, enjoy Bald Head Island.
We took the ferry over, and despite the chilly wind, sat outside. It was really windy…

I loved the sand dunes on the beach and the tall plants growing everywhere.

I wore my new favorite GREEN dress (what other color would I choose?) from Anthropologie that I actually bought for some photos Jeff and I got done for our anniversary… more on that later!

My best friend is so pretty. I loved taking photos of her on the beach. Our daughters are going to love seeing these some day, if/when we have daughters.

The only other people we saw on the beach were two ladies walking a dog. They stopped to take our photo.

On the right is Old Baldy, the lighthouse on the island.

We rode the ferry back as the sun was setting.

North Carolina, I love you…
