Kim and Dan had all sorts of fun locations in mind for their engagement shoot — things that had personal meaning for them, were a part of their story, and also had great backdrops for photos! We met up in Lawrence, where they live and where Kim went to school. We started at South Park on Massachusetts Street, and they were so much fun! I had a great time getting to know them better and hearing more about their lives during our shoot!
I think Kim and I could be shopping buddies, too, since her wardrobe looked like something I’d like to borrow. I loved her sundress, yellow shoes, and accessories, and her second outfit with the adorable cardigan!

Kim used to work at the toy store on Mass Street in Lawrence, and really wanted some photos in the store. This was too fun… they have some awesome toys in there, and this was perfect for Kim and Dan’s playful personalities. I thought it was also fitting since Kim is a Kindergarten teacher.

We walked around more downtown looking for fun spots, and I love this vine-covered alleyway.

Our last stop was at one of their favorite local restaurants, 715, which uses local Kansas farmers and suppliers for their menu items. It was a gorgeous space, and I can’t wait to go back and try their food!

I can’t wait for your wedding next April!
