Guess what?! I’m back… we’ve been back for a while from New Orleans, where we seem to have contracted the flu! This has not been a fun several days of recovering, but the trip to New Orleans was great and I’m looking forward to sharing tons of fun photos with you this week.
For now, I’m even more excited to give you a sneak peek of Mallory and Kylan’s wedding day. These two are one of the sweetest, most genuinely in love couples I have ever met. I loved getting to know their story and being there on their big day to capture this awesome day in their relationship.

The details of Mallory’s dress were gorgeous — I have never seen details quite like this before, and it suited her so well!

They decided to see each other beforehand, which was such a sweet moment between the two of them. I hated having to interrupt after a while to let them know that we needed to start the photos. I think Mallory said, “Oh! I forgot all about the photos!” which is awesome — I loved how focused they were on each other throughout the whole day.

Kylan loves his Mustang.

Since we took their outdoor photos right around noon, I brought along this paper umbrella I found to have something a little different in the portraits — and something that would help us use the sun to our advantage!

The beautiful couple:

Mallory and Kylan definitely didn’t need any direction from me to act super cute and in love on their wedding day — for most of their portraits, I used a 200mm lens so I could stand way back and just let them do what they do best.
This way, I captured who they are together… and hopefully they forgot about the photos again. I love the quiet emotion in these images.

Their rings had personal inscriptions on the inside — hers included Kylan’s name and his had Mallory’s name:

Some of my favorite ceremony shots. Mallory’s dad walked her down the aisle. The second photo is Kylan washing Mallory’s feet — a sign of his devotion to her and starting off their marriage as Jesus demonstrated service in the Bible.

Their reception was held at the church, and it was a beautiful candlelit cake reception! I loved watching Mallory and Kylan during their reception, as they kept stealing quiet moments together.

They made their grand exit under a shower of rose petals!

Mallory and Kylan, congratulations on your marriage. I hope your story is filled with lots of love, laughter, and many blessings!
