I promise I’ll be blogging about people and weddings and the usual things very, very soon. :) But for now, to follow up my post about my cute two-year-old miniature schnauzer, I just had to share with you a few images of the brand new puppies my mom’s dog just had two weeks ago. Petey is the offspring of my mom’s dog, so I can tell you these are some pretty great puppies. She had two little miniature schnauzer puppies.

The white one is a girl, and looks like a polar bear.

The darker one is a boy, and looks just like Petey did when he was born.

I caught Petey sleeping in the picture window one afternoon, on top of the bench, on top of the blanket, on top of my Crate and Barrel pillow. Like a little king on his throne. And it made me smile so much.

They’re some of the best people I know. I told Jeff today that they’re “constant encouragers.” They’re friends who are always excited about what is happening in their friends’ lives. Plus, they’re fun. I was so excited when they wanted to take part in the portrait special to benefit HOBY. I love being able to photograph my wedding clients after their wedding day, and I love that Nick and Sarah want to have updated photos of “normal life.” :)

We went to a few spots in downtown Wichita for their session… I love shooting in new locations!

This little guy is staying with us right now. He thinks my new Pottery Barn rug is a patch of grass. Yeah…

Still, how can you not love this face? If you can see his face, anyway, through all of that dark hair! He looks more like a Scottie to me than a Schnauzer. :) Petey loves having a playmate.

While Jeff and I dined with Hutton’s parents, the two canine guys did who-knows-what around our house. :) They must have played quite a bit, because Petey is completely passed out and snoring next to me. :) Before they left, I couldn’t help but grab a few photos of Hutton the Yorkie. He’s just several months old, and is the sweetest little guy!

Although I don’t have plans to quit weddings and become a dog photographer, I thought these were cute and had to share them on the blog. :)
