Tamara and Royce’s engagement session in the River Market

Tamara and Royce braved the extreme heat for their engagement session — it was the hottest day we’ve had so far this year, and they were still awesome and willing to take photos! I love how their images turned out, too. Both Tamara and Royce are just beautiful people (inside and out), and they are really fun to photograph as a couple.

When Sarah first e-mailed me about her wedding photography after finding me in an online search and asked if I went to HOBY, I knew we were going to get along. Sarah attended the same youth leadership seminar that I still volunteer with (and how I met Jeff) — which is an awesome thing to have in common with someone. I didn’t get to meet Sarah and Paul until the day of their engagement session, and they were better than I expected. They’re completely in love. They have so much fun together. And they were absolutely comfortable in front of the camera. It was a joy to get to know them better, as we strolled around the River Market area of Kansas City.

Congratulations, Sarah and Paul! I am even more excited for your wedding this fall!

After just a few minutes with Dallas and Megan, it’s apparent that they care very deeply about each other. They are so sweet to one another. I like to find what it is about each of my couples that makes their relationship unique, and that forms the bond between them. During Dallas and Megan’s engagement session at City Market in Kansas City, I focused on capturing their compassion for each other. They made it very easy. As I picked out images for this blog post, I found myself most drawn to the cuddly/sweet/cozy-looking photos of these two!
